Deacon John Crowley

Greetings all, I am Deacon John Crowley.

I was ordained in 2015. I am the father of three children, and step-father of six children, all of whom are on their own. My wife, Kathy, and I have 27 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. I am a retired aircraft mechanic of some 40 years and I love airplanes but do not miss the industry; in other words, retirement is great!

At this time I am working in RCIA and love the liturgies, not only Sundays but daily also, especially the preaching. Hobbies include tinkering around in the garage, shooting, and solving the world’s problems with my wife of 31 years over a cup of coffee or a glass of homemade wine. We are the owners of a Boston terrier who thinks people come to our house to see him and always prays before he eats.

We try to make Good alive in our home and in our lives.

Katie Love, Director of Faith Formation

I currently live in Adrian Township.

Although I don’t have any biological children I am blessed with many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and confirmed youth I sponsored. I have traveled around much of the US through Americorps and volunteering.

My free time consists of working on my certificate for youth ministry and activities as an associate of the Adrian Dominican Sisters. I am enjoying my ministry with the youth of Holy Family. I am enjoying learning from them as well as watching them continue to grow in their faith. The highlight of my year is watching the youth receive first reconciliation and communion along with confirmation.

I look forward to continuing working with the youth and seeing where the Spirit leads in the future.
